New Adapter Will Offer Native
Support for ActiveEnterprise messaging and TIBCO Repository

Francisco, CA Strategic Directions 2002 - May 15, 2002 - MITEM Corporation,
a leading provider of legacy integration software and eBusiness solutions,
today announced at the TIBCO (NASDAQ:TIBX) executive client conference
it will offer an Adapter for TIBCO ActiveEnterprise. MITEM's Host Adapter
for TIBCO ActiveEnterprise provides screen-based access to myriad legacy
systems and completes TIBCO's line-up of mainframe integration products
that include support for transaction processing systems, direct database
access and file transfers.
The new ActiveEnterprise adapter extends MITEM's signature product,
MitemView, that enables real-time integration of disparate systems without
requiring changes or additions to existing applications. By using a
non-invasive approach to integration, MitemView is able to interface
with any existing system regardless of the underlying operating system,
programming language, database, or communications protocol.
TIBCO ActiveEnterprise is a comprehensive line of Enterprise Application
Integration (EAI) products that automate business processes and lower
total cost of ownership by creating an integrated network of applications,
databases and information. TIBCO and MITEM products are event-based,
enabling transactions and messages to be processed in real-time. Enabling
such real-time processing meets the demands of customers' to eliminate
inefficient batch-mode processing and accrue the benefits of Straight
Through Processing.
"MITEM has worked closely with TIBCO Software to provide interoperability
with the family of ActiveEnterprise products, including TIBCO Repository
for storage of configuration and metadata information, TIBCO Integration
Manager for data transformation and analysis, and TIBCO Hawk for event-driven
adapter management," stated Martin Fincham, vice president of marketing
for MITEM. "The MITEM Host Adapter can be deployed as a stand-alone
LAN gateway or in combination with TIBCO Substation ES."
MITEM will ship the initial version of the ActiveEnterprise
adapter in the Fall of 2002 and it will evolve to keep
pace with TIBCO product enhancements and market requirements.
