Includes six new ProStart
templates, improved support for TIBCO Software,
and maintenance enhancements
MENLO PARK, Calif., July 16, 2001 – MITEM Corporation,
a leading provider of legacy integration software for real-time e-business,
today announced the availability of MitemView 5.3.1. Key features
of this release include six new templates for MITEM ProStart and enhanced
support for TIBCO Software (Nasdaq: TIBX.).
ProStart, a Wizard-style application development tool uses pre-built
templates to automatically generate the foundation of a MitemView-based
application. ProStart is the first development tool to capture best
practice design principles, and automate their use in production applications.
ProStart first shipped in January 2001 and MITEM customers have significantly
cut development time and gained efficiencies by using a powerful, reliable
foundation upon which they can quickly build integrated applications.
“This release of MitemView demonstrates our continued commitment

vice president of marketing. “Our customers use ProStart to simplify
routine implementation tasks, without resorting to dumb automatic code
generation. Six new templates – designed for the most common MitemView
applications – enable customers to more rapidly bridge the application
gap and deliver integration now.”
MITEM formed a relationship with TIBCO Software in February 2000. MitemView
is used to provide the “last mile” integration from a company’s
existing legacy systems to The Integration Bus®,
(TIB®), in a non-invasive way. This release
includes enhanced support that provides true message-oriented integration
of MitemView with the TIB. This pre-built integration simplifies and
accelerates the implementation process, making joint MITEM and TIBCO
solutions even easier to develop and deploy.
