MITEM Corporation Acquires European
Sales & Support Center
Creates single powerful brand
to expand MITEM's business in Europe, Middle East & Africa
MENLO PARK, CA (20 April, 2000) - MITEM Corporation today announced
the purchase of Alchemy Computing Ltd. MITEM has acquired all of the
outstanding shares in Alchemy for an undisclosed sum. Alchemy, located
near Cambridge, England, has served as MITEM's exclusive European distributor
for six years, and boasts considerable experience with MITEM's flagship
product - MitemView. Immediately following this announcement,
the Alchemy business will become an integral part of MITEM, and the
Alchemy name will be changed to MITEM (Europe) Ltd.
Alchemy has established a solid reputation for MITEM in Europe, perhaps
more so than any other EAI vendor. Alchemy has successfully licensed
MitemView to numerous blue-chip organizations in the Automotive,
Business Services, Consumer Electronics, Financial Services, Manufacturing,
Petrochemical, Telecommunications, Transportation and Utility industries.
In geographic terms, MitemView has already been deployed in more
than half of the European Union countries, as well as Egypt and South
Africa.
