MENLO PARK, CA (February 29, 2000) - MITEM Corporation, a leading provider
of high-performance mainframe integration solutions for e-business,
and TIBCO Software Inc. (Nasdaq: TIBX), a leading provider of real-time
infrastructure software for e-business, today jointly announced their
intent to enter into a global technology alliance that will provide
customers a real-time, mainframe integration solution for creating end-to-end
business-to-business (B2B), business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-employee
(B2E) systems.
TIBCO and MITEM announced their intent for MITEM to be TIBCO's preferred
solution for mainframe legacy system integration and TIBCO's TIB/ActiveEnterpriseT
to be MITEM's preferred solution for e-business infrastructure software.
TIBCO also announced its intent to resell MitemView, MITEM's
software product designed to integrate legacy computer systems with
Windows and Web technology, without requiring changes or additions to
existing host applications. The companies plan to collaborate to jointly
market and sell the TIBCO/MITEM solution on an integrated basis.
